Founder Jerry Herschman leaves the comforts of a large architectural firm and opens his first office in historic Shaker Square with one client and relentless determination. Jerry’s unique ability to combine contemporary styling with practical solutions became a trademark that would launch a long, successful career.
Herschman Architects, now with numerous commercial and retail clients, expands to 7 employees and relocates to Beachwood, sharing space with a local printing company. Building relationships has been the backbone of steady growth. Maintaining integrity with retail clients, HA began to foster relationships with national developers, contractors and architects.
With an increasing national client base, Herschman Architects outgrows its space once again and relocates to a new building in Beachwood, Ohio. HA designs the office building and its studio within, the coming years would see the company continue to grow and absorb adjacent space to expand its studio. Jerry’s influence and passion for architecture has passed to the many people now helping to carry the torch.
